“Autonomy Is Not the Last Option, Autonomy Is the Only Option”

This poster refers to the indigenous community located in Chiapas, Mexico - EZLN - who is seeking autonomy from the Mexican Government. In their community there is a practice to cover half of their face with a bandana, leaving only the eyes. This is done to take away individual protagonism and further reinforce their collective community focus.
